Looking for a career break? Want to gain hands-on experience working in a developing country? Then Development in Action could be for you!
We offer two and five month volunteering placements within NGOs around India. These consist of a range of activities: you could be researching anything from women’s empowerment to environmental sustainability, teaching children and adults, campaigning, or managing a team.
You will gain invaluable experience from grassroots organisations in one of the most complex and intriguing countries in the world. You will be living and working with local people and learn so much about Indian life. You will gain career development skills that are transferrable and extremely useful, whether you work in the international development sector or not. You will be able to make a real difference by working on long-term sustainable projects with a charity that strives for community building and responsible development.
