Austria – Chalet Chef
Chalet Mur is an owner-run Guest- house in the beautiful Lungau Biosphere area of Austrian Alps. We have 6 guest rooms, all en-suite, and cater for up to 15 guests per week.
We are just 1 hour south of Salzburg and have some amazing skiing on our doorstep and the local ski pass includes Obertauren, one of the better known Austrian resorts.
Our small team of 3, Clare, Ben & Daisy are looking for an experienced Chalet Chef to join us this winter. You will be comfortable providing a 3 course ‘hearty, home- cooked style’ of evening meal for up to 15 guests (average numbers are circa 6-10 per week, outside main holiday dates)
We often have guest with special dietary requirements – Gluten Free, lactose Free, vegetarian etc so you will need to be happy cooking special meals for them. As we’re a small team we are looking for someone who will be happy to help with other tasks around the chalet too.
Working hours will generally be 7am-10am and 5pm-10pm although one day per week will be a full working day to allow time for shopping, cleaning etc.
Still lots of time to enjoy the mountains!
The role will involve:
Menu Planning and Shopping to an agreed budget.
Providing breakfast and afternoon cake daily
Cooking dinner 6 evenings per week (this may also include kids tea on busy weeks)
Ensuring the kitchen and surrounding areas are cleaned daily
Helping serve meals when needed
Chatting to guests and helping make sure the have the best holiday ever!
Helping with ad-hoc jobs, especially on transfer days.
