CULTURE, ARTS AND TOURISM IN EUROPE (CAST)
CAST is the new Leonardo da Vinci Mobility project promoted by Language Link, a school of languages based in London, and financed by the European Union under the Lifelong Learning Programme.
CAST is addressed to all those people in the labour market who want to develop their skills and build their career in companies and organisations working in the arts, culture and tourism sectors.
CAST aims to:
1) professionalise and provide specialisations for adults who want to pursue a career in the sectors of Culture, Art and Tourism.
2) Foster the acquisition of multidisciplinary and transversal methods, tools and skills that could be applied to management and marketing in Culture, Arts and Tourism organisations
3) Offer participants the possibility of acquiring new professional skills and specific knowledge aimed at the creation and running of micro-enterprises and to be competitive in the European Market.
Through the project, Language Link will grant 30 scholarships for a period of 12 weeks abroad, in the following countries:
1) Italy: 18 scholarships
2) Spain: 9 scholarships
3) Belgium: 3 scholarships
The beneficiaries will have the opportunity to learn the language in the host country and do a work experience in the sectors included in the project.
