Chalet Hotel La Terrasse-de-Verchaix, is a small and friendly family run chalet style hotel, offering guests a warm welcome, generous hospitality and value for money from the moment they arrive. We have relaxed surroundings, unforgettable scenery and delicious cuisine. Our 7 rooms have been beautifully refurbished and we sleep a maximum of 18 guests.
We are looking for an experienced chalet hotel cook/chef to join our team for the summer season, Mid July to Mid September, to help run our kitchen and assist with daily operational duties. Previous experience of running a quality chalet operation or similar is necessary, plus basic knowledge of French language. This position is also available for winter 2011/12
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA *
• Cooking for groups of 15 – 20, dinner parties or commercial experience.
• Customer service experience.
• Must hold EU passport or French work permit
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Cook breakfast, afternoon tea, 3 course dinner, staff meals and menu preparation and service 6 days
• Assist with food orders and deliveries
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen and chalet hotel.
• Food stock control

• Confident, trustworthy, friendly, approachable
• Excellent timekeeping and organisational skills.
• Clean and tidy.
• Positive helpful attitude
• French speaker an advantage
