An Opportunity to Teach English in Naples, Italy Beginning October 2012 until term end May 2013; equivalent to one school year.
We are based in Pomigliano D’Arco Naples. Opportunities to teach groups of four to six students, adults and children as well as one to one. It’s important you are flexible, highly motivated and passionate about teaching English to a high standard.
In general we specialise in private and group lessons within client’s homes and Aftercare Schools and we are growing weekly. Children and teen numbers are high on our list and we always have a waiting list from parents for places for their children at Simona Learning English Abroad School. Our student’s ages vary from five years; we don’t have an upward age limit, so you will gain plenty of experience teaching children, teens and adults.
It is for this reason it’s important that you must supply two character references, one from a recent previous employer and one from another professional person i.e. someone who has known you in a professional capacity for some years(not family or friends.) I.e. Doctor, Policeman or other. Care of our students is very high on our list of priorities as is the welfare of our teachers.
You must possess a full clean driving licence which will need to be up to date when you arrive in Naples. You will be required to Assess Student Levels and prepare students for Cambridge Exams., books are provided for this purpose, you may also download teaching materials as required from Internet Websites and print in your accommodation.
Working hours: 20-25 hours per week; depends on demand. Morning hours: 9am – 1pm; or later morning hours. depends on the requirements of the client/student. Approximately 1 or 2 mornings a week. Evening hours: 6pm – 9pm or 10pm; depends on demand, approximately 4 evenings a week.
Accommodation shared with, School Administrator, one Italian student, who is the son of the administrator; and Head Teacher. Private room and share a bathroom with the other male student or if female with the other teacher. Full-board included during the week. The accommodation is very modern, comfortable, and very clean, utilities are paid for by the School. You may purchase an International Phone Card to call International Landlines from accommodation. You will have your own key and plenty of free time between lessons. Wi-Fi is available
Christmas Holiday Leave from 22nd December-6th January (2 weeks) Easter Holiday Leave: One week leave. Remuneration: dependent on experience of teacher will be discussed during the final interview with prospective teacher. Flight ticket is not included, Pick up from Naples airport included.
