Travel The World As A Peace Boat Volunteer Language Teacher

Peace Boat’s language training programme, GET, is now accepting applications for volunteer English and Spanish language teachers for their 115th Global Voyage, due to embark on August 24.

Peace Boat’s voyages aim to create a unique environment in which people can live, learn and relax together while visiting around 20 countries. On the agenda for each voyage is a range of educational activities, including lectures by guest educators, workshops, language classes, and cultural programmes.

   

May 5 is the application deadline for volunteer teachers, who should be highly advanced speakers (though not necessarily native speakers) of English or both English and Spanish, with 18 months of relevant full time English and/or Spanish teaching experience. Applicants must also be able to obtain all relevant visas required to participate in the voyage for which they are applying.

Interviews will be conducted online May 19 to 26. Download their application pack for more information or shoot send them an email to getprogramme@peaceboat.gr.jp. One more global voyage in 2023 is scheduled to leave on December 14.

Interpreters

Interpreters are also hired in the following language combinations: Japanese-English, Japanese-Chinese, Japanese-Korean, English-Chinese, English-Korean, three of the above-mentioned languages, or any of the combinations plus Spanish.

Travel the world by joining a Peace Boat global voyage as a volunteer

Peace Boat organises three around the world cruises each year, lasting three months, plus two East Asia Regional Voyages. Each voyage visits around 20 countries and connects one thousand participants with people around the world. Since its first voyage over 40 years ago, Peace Boat has travelled to more than 250 ports in over 80 countries.

Events and activities onboard each voyage include lectures by guest educators, workshops, language classes, and cultural programmes to create a unique environment in which people can live, learn and relax together while visiting some of the most fascinating regions on earth.
