Professional, experienced chef required from June 2011 with the possibility long term employment.
This is a serious position with competitve pay and accommodation for a chef looking for employment in this beautiful region of the High Pyrenees (the largest ski resort in the French Pyrenees and home to the off-piste mecca of the Pic du Midi du Bigorre 2877m).
The restaurant is a 40 cover establishment in a newly refurbished/reopened 3* hotel (the best hotel in the ski resort). You would have an assistant, 2 servers and be in charge of the menu, kitchen staff and provisioning. A reasonable level of French would be advantageous
This will be the first year of opperation so we are looking for someone who is highly motivated like ourselves and keen to make their mark using some of the fabulous local produce from our valley. The menu would need to feature regional specialities with a creative twist of your own. There would need to be a daily “menu” and a simple a la carte (3/4 choices for starter, main, desert), with seasonal variation. You would only be expected to work for the evening service (no breakfasts/lunches) to allow time for skiing/exploring for much of the day, however this is a full time (2 seasons), professional position, professional qualifications/training and experience a requirement. 2500€ monthly.
