We are a young retired couple living in the Maine et Loire area of France, midway between Tours and Angers. We live in a small village where you’ll find a local store, bakery, hairdresser, butcher and Cyberpoint. We’re close to such places as Chinon, Saumur, Fontevraud Abbaye and so much more. This area is full of history and offers some great walks, rivers and lakes for fishing and a couple of UNESCO world heritage sites. We need general gardening help, cutting hedges, turning compost (we’ve got a lot of this!), vegetable gardening and maintaining flower borders.
If you want to learn about gardening, this is the place for you. It’s my passion. In return for 3 or 4 hours work a day (or 2 days a week) we’ll house and feed you well. You’ll have your own room and ensuite. Wifi available. Happy to pick you up from Angers or Tours Airport, or from the train station. Perhaps you’re a retired couple who want to explore France but haven’t got the income to do it? This could be ideal for you, come back 3 times and year and get to know the area.
