This is the perfect role if you have a natural ability interacting with people and won’t shy away from leading or presenting to groups of 30 or more teenagers. Equity are looking for an Activity Leader to run the evening entertainments and daytime excursions for residential school and youth groups.
You will need to be enthusiastic and passionate about working with children and have excellent communication skills.
We need this person to be an excellent all-rounder as during low-season, or when groups are off-site, you may be expected to help the rest of the team out around the chateau, be that cleaning, helping in the restaurant or other general tasks.
Your key areas of responsibility will involve:
Ensure smooth running of all excursions and liaise with party leaders
Organise and deliver an evening entertainments programme nightly to school groups
Act as a liaison between guests and suppliers (including with language barriers!) whilst on trips.
Meet and greet the guests on arrival, help with the organisation of departures / arrival day.
To report and deal with any guest feedback as appropriate, recording and sharing information with Chateau Manager.
Lead activities in an organised, safe and professional manner.
Develop and sell an entertainments/activity program for Adult and family Guests using local knowledge and suppliers with a view to provide the Chateau with a financial return.
Advertise all activities offered in house or locally through various mediums; black boards, posters and welcome speeches and be creative in thinking up new ideas!
Essential:
Previous experience of working in a customer service environment
Previous experience or delivering activity sessions or entertaining roups of young people
Fluent French speaker
