Solitude Farm
Located in Auroville, India, Solitude is an organic farm and restaurant which started in 1996. The farm was created with the vision of developing a self-sustaining farming community with an emphasis on Masanobu Fukuoka’s Natural farming (one straw revolution) and permaculture techniques. Solitude aims to create a dynamic integrated lifestyle, leaving space for music and art with farming as the foundation of the community. Days on the farm consist of working in the fields, the nursery, the restaurant and more. Always open and welcome to new volunteers and interns to contribute any new ideas, culture, and life experiences. Incorporation of any specialities our visitors can offer, such as documentary film making, art, music, or any other unique quality into the farm life are always encouraged.
