The privately owned Cambridge School of English is Verona’s oldest language school and recently celebrated its 50th anniversary. It is also AISLI (Italian Association of Language Schools, whose members include important institutions like the British Council) accredited. The Cambridge School of English is not only a Cambridge English Platinum Exam Centre but also runs both the Cambridge CELTA and DELTA courses.
We have high standards for our teaching staff and we are seeking applicants who are friendly, dynamic, prepare well for their lessons at all levels and are generally good team players.
Only native level speaker applicants with a degree plus CELTA / Trinity CertTESOL will be considered. Previous experience in teaching of at least 2 years on a variety of courses is essential. Experience with Cambridge English exams is desirable. The position is offered for the academic year 2016-17 on a full-time/part-time basis, subject to successful completion of the probationary period.
The school opens from 9:00am-9:30pm Monday to Friday and 9am-1pm on Saturdays, so applicants must be available and prepared to work a shift at any point during these hours. The average working week is 25 teaching hours.
Our courses include general English, exam preparation for Cambridge English and IELTS, English for academic purposes, English for young learners and business English. We also deliver conversation courses in primary, middle and high state schools to groups of up to 20/25 pupils.
Unfortunately, we can only consider applications of non-EU citizens if they already hold a valid visa for Italy. A driving license is essential. We will only reply to shortlisted candidates.
Monthly net salary which ranges from €1,220 to €1,280 , plus paid holidays. Travel time is compensated.
