ITALY / Feudo Muxarello
We run a small, picturesque agriturismo in the beautiful platani valley – 20 mins north of Agrigento and the famous valley of the Temples. We are looking for a friendly, honest and hardworking couple to help us during our 2021 tourist season (April to end of October).
Work will include: meeting, greeting and hosting guests; cleaning; kitchen help and food preparation; teaching us English and occasional work on the farm.
We need someone who (ESSENTIAL): – is native or fluent in English
– speaks Italian to a sufficient level.
– is cheery and likes meeting people
– is reliable and not afraid of hard work, (especially during the busier summer months).
– Hospitality and catering experience is a bonus (NON ESSENTIAL).
There is no set roster. Some days are busy, others are quiet . It all depends on guest arrivals. But even on busy days we will always make sure you have ample time off to rest or explore. A flexible, happy approach is therefore appreciated.
Due to the financial implications of COVID on our small family business, we regret to say that this year this position is unpaid (voluntary), however, we will provide you with your own en-suite bedroom and all meals. During your time-off you will have an opportunity to explore the beautiful countryside or simply relax by our pool. And true to Sicilian tradition we will welcome you into our family! Moreover, if we are happy working together after a trial season and you would like to stay and help us indefinitely, this year’s unpaid position could lead to a permanent, paid opportunity from 2022 onwards, for the right couple!
If you are interested in the position you can e-mail us at email@example.com (since we speak minimal English we prefer if you write to us in Italian)
Nationalities Accepted: We cannot help with work permits/visas. Therefore we only accept couples who have the right to reside in Italy for the 6 month minimum.
Expires: May 31, 2021
