After a last minute let down, we are looking for a chef to cook in our chalet/hotel Le Rond Point in Megeve, France. You need to be able to start asap, within a week, and to be able to cook to a high standard. The chalet sleeps up to 28 people and staff. We don’t give set menus so we are looking for someone with flair and imagination who will love the challenge of running his/her own kitchen. The job involves cooking breakfast, porridge and eggs, a cake for afternoon tea and a 3 course evening meal to a high standard with great presentation. You would be working with a small team of two chalet hosts, a general helper/ski guide and a manager. You get every afternoon off to ski (except changeover day) and one day off/ week. We ensure that you do get to go skiing as much as possible because that is the point of a ski season! Megeve is a lovely resort with a big ski area, close to Mont Blanc. We are a family, run company and take great care to look after our staff. If you’re happy then our guests are happy and most of our staff have remained our great friends. The package includes transport out there and back, accommodation, food, ski pass, ski and boot hire, medical insurance and £140/week + tips.
