We are on a mission to find friendly and reliable chefs, experienced cooks and chalet couples (one of whom must be able to cook to a very high standard) who have a passion for food, and want to use their skills in creating scrumptious dishes for our guests. You must be hard-working, mature and responsible, preferably with previous experience of working in a professional kitchen.
The position of chalet chef is a very sought-after role – we get inundated with stacks of application forms and are looking for staff who have the ‘X’ factor.
Duties include preparing a cooked breakfast every morning, baking a delectable cake for the afternoon and a delicious four-course dinner party each evening. We aren’t the sort of company who serve spag bol and stews so please do not apply if this is the type of cuisine you are hoping to cook for the season. We aim to provide our guests with fine dining type meals each night. We require a six-day menu plan so please be imaginative!
As we expect high standards, we provide our staff with the best, so if you work for YSE you will receive a full Espace Killy ski pass for the whole season, free ski or snowboard hire inc boots and poles, standard insurance, accommodation, food, travel to and from the resort and uniform including our legendary yellow jacket.
