FRANCE / SARL Chateau Rigaud
Chateau Rigaud is an exclusive wedding and holiday venue in South West France. We’re recruiting a new live-in couple to join our on-site team. One half of the couple will work in the house as a kitchen assistant and waitress, taking responsibility for the breakfast service and helping the chef team with food preparation. There is the requirement for occasional split shifts and some housekeeping help for example on turnaround days. A genuine personal interest in food is an absolute requirement for this role.
The second half of the couple will work predominantly outside as a grounds-man and a “grower” in the vegetable garden. Previous gardening or vegetable plot experience would be a definite advantage, as would chain-saw training and any building trade skills. It is essential that this person is happiest working outside, can work alone and is entirely flexible and cheerful in their approach to work.
The successful couple must both have held a full driving licence for more than two years. They must possess a strong positive mental attitude, flexibility and a cheerful approach to the challenges that the chateau will present on a daily basis and they must appreciate rural chateau lifestyle and everything that goes with it. We are an hour from any major town and therefore the night-life is definitely restricted.
This is initially offered as a temporary job starting in mid March and running until the end of November however there is potential for this to become a permanent role for the right people.
