FRANCE / Almondbury Au pair and Nanny Agency
We are an easy going, fun loving English family living in St Pierre en Faucigny, a French town very close to the Swiss border of Geneva. We have three children; two girls who are 8 and 7 and a boy who is 6 years old. They are all in full-time schooling. Mother works and father is currently a Creative Director travelling to London for three days a week. We live in a charming renovated farm house, with a garden and a swimming pool. Our house is in a scenic part of Haute Savoie, between the ski resorts of Chamonix and Geneva. We have a friendly black labrador, a cocker spaniel and a cat. So animal lover required. You will have your own double bedroom. Weekends off and use of a car. We require a confident swimmer to accompany the children when in our pool. First Aid training is most definitely a plus. You must be outgoing, active, a confident and experienced driver as you will need to take our children to activities such as skiing, horse-riding.
You will also have use of a car to explore the region. We have a cleaner who comes once a week so minimal housework will be required. When it comes to the children we need you to be fun, creative and love exploring the great out doors! The children would like someone kind and fair but parents require someone able to discipline, should it be required. In short, you must be warm, loving, responsible and adventurous individual to help care for our children and to enjoy life and the culture with us here in France.
“I lived with the Carter-Johnson family for seven months in 2009. During that time, I cared for Isabella, Charlotte and Edward; three bold, imaginative, curious and truly precious kids. We shared lots of adventures, from walks in the nearby forest to fun by Lake Annecy and family holidays. Matt and Tori always made sure I had time to myself, encouraged my learning of French and always included me as a member of their generous and fun-loving family. One of my most precious memories is of spending my first and only white Christmas with the CJs and their close friends. I’ve since been back to visit and keep in regular contact with the family. I gained so much from my experiences with the CJs and I would recommend them to any loving au pair.”

** Note from the agency: We have been placing au pairs with this family since 2009 **
