FRANCE / L’Auberge de Montpezat
We are a friendly, well traveled French/ Australian couple seeking an experienced, reliable and trustworthy au pair to help take care of our 2 year old daughter from now until the end of September or longer. BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY FROM THE BEGINNING OF JULY UNTIL THE END OF AUGUST.
While we will be running our quaint village hotel, bar, restaurant situated in a stunning countryside village in southern France, your role will be to help take care of our toddler and your duties will vary from day to day but will generally include feeding, bathing, and playtime when needed. You will work mostly in the afternoon/evenings and weekends based on 35hrs p/w. Except for in August when you will be taking care of her for the majority of the day, everyday. You will be expected to speak English and a good base in French is preferable. We speak both French and English in our household but with our daughter you will be expected to speak in English.
You will be provided with your own room, bathroom and separate lounge area and your meals are included. You will earn 450 EUROS a month/35hrs per week. You will be paid for any extra hours you do. And there will be opportunity for you to earn extra money.
We are based in a countryside village, with other villages surrounding, where the nearest big town is 30mins away. Major cities are at 2 and 3hrs away. Local buses join our village to the town. Given our location you must be a nature lover and enjoy being in the countryside.
Our child is our number one priority so we are only looking for someone who enjoys spending time with and nurturing children and is serious about the job.
Full drivers licence is essential.
People with references will have priority.
