We are looking for a volunteer at the Language and Cultural Center Altra Lingua (www.altralingua.org) in Sciacca (Sicily), a historical town in front of the sea. You have a unique chance to make this fantastic experience and a great challenge to contribute to let grow this international center in the Mediterranean area! We organize language courses and a lot of cultural activities.
Now (starting from October) we need a mother tongue English teacher, preferably a young, enthusiastic and creative person with some experience in education or in a school office.
We offer accommodation in an apartment in the town, in a single room. Food is included. There will be also a possibility to learn Italian.
After one month of volunteering (4-5 hours per day) there will be a possibility to be employed as an English teacher.
We ask our volunteers to:
– run the English classes (small groups, all ages, all levels),
– help with some marketing activities, help to develop the school and office rooms & decorate it in a nice and creative way,
– help to organize some cultural events.
