Equity are looking for enthusiastic, hardworking and motivated General Assistants to work at the stunning Chateau du Baffy in the Normandy region of France.
If you are looking for an opportunity to add to your C.V. increasing your hospitality experience whilst having the freedom to soak up the local French culture and sample the cuisine then this could be your ideal role. You will work as part of a close-knit team of Chateau Staff with your main responsibilities to include servicing bedrooms, serving breakfast, lunch or dinner in the restaurant, greeting guests and even getting involved with some evening activities and games sessions if you fancy the challenge!
Primarily aimed at school groups, in the quieter months the Chateau also caters for adult guests, meaning you’ll gain experience of working with different types of guests and of varying different nationalities.
During busy periods, this role may be fast paced and physically demanding, hence the need for flexible, friendly and hard-working staff who remain optimistic and work as a team to achieve the end goal. Your workplace will be second to none in that you will be surrounded by hundreds of years of history with the prospect of cycling around the stunning French countryside on your days off!
Essential Requirements:
Previous housekeeping or waitress/waiter experience
Smart appearance
Ability to work on own initiative
Strong team player
There is the opportunity work from either February to June or June to October or work the full 9 month season.
