Host Savoie Ltd. is seeking a Chalet Chef to work alongside the chalet managers in a large (23 person) ski chalet . The chef will be in sole charge of the preparation and presentation of chalet meals and must be able to work to a budget and on their own initiative. The successful candidate will be expected to liaise with the company directors to ensure that menu plans are compatible with the ‘house style’ of food – essentially hearty 3 course meals made with fresh local produce for a clientèle of hungry skiers.
The successful applicant will have relevant experience (not necessarily formal qualifications but certainly experience of a commercial kitchen) and be comfortable working as part of a small team of 10 members that prides itself on going the extra mile for its guests.
The main tasks of the Chalet Chef are:
– Serve breakfast,
– Plan, shop, prepare, cook and serve a 3 course meal within budget for up to 23 guests,
– Be responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen,
– Assist the chalet managers in keeping the chalet clean and tidy and a deep clean on change-over day,
– Be sociable and helpful with guests.
