CHEF JOB
The Apsley team are currently looking for a talented, enthusiastic, hard-working chef to join us from mid December 2013 to mid March 2014.
We are a small hotel/chalet based in the Tirol region, Austria.
We are looking for someone who:
*Has a real passion for food and has hospitality experience, ideally within a ski season.
*Can create a 3 course hearty evening meal, 6 nights a week for up to 30 people in our industrial sized kitchen.
*Can prepare cake, biscuits or scones for afternoon tea which is set by Chalet host.
*Must have a high sense of cleanliness in the kitchen and storage areas, working within food and kitchen hygiene standards
*Be on breakfast duty 2 x per week.
*Be very diligent at keeping to budgets
*Help the rest of the chalet team look after your guests
*MUST be prepared to cater for food allergies, coeliacs, vegans, veggies and dairy-free eaters who will all want a different menu
*Naturally be extremely professional, reliable and flexible.
*Full drivers license, and able to drive in Europe.
**The salary is negotiable depending on experience. The package includes accommodation, breakfast and dinner, ski pass, reduced ski hire.
CHALET HOST
We are also currently looking for 2 x Chalet Hosts to join our team:
This role will be:
Responsible for the smooth daily running of the Chalet Keeping the Chalet clean and tidy at all times. There must be a high standard of cleanliness, with great attention to detail.
This job will work on a split shift rota (am and pm shifts) SO this will allow lots of time for skiing during the day.
The AM – duties include:
*Breakfast laid out for guests, and cleared.
*All bathrooms to be cleaned daily, including the staff bathroom.
*Rooms will be turned down daily, ie beds made, and hovered, unless requested otherwise.
*Hallways, sitting room and dining room to be hovered and dusted.
PM:
*Afternoon tea set out
*Bar duties and bar snacks made available
*Assist the Chef with evening food prep.
*Set tables for evening meals, serve and clear
*Run bar
*Clean and clear bar area
*Mop dining room floor
We are a small hotel and pride ourselves on getting to know our guests.
To do this, we need our staff to care about the Apsley but most importantly about our guests holidays.
