BOLIVIA / ICYE UK
Interested in Human Rights? Wanting to gain experience in the international development field
ICYE UK is currently recruiting volunteers passionate about human rights, to support our long-term programme in Bolivia.
ICYE UK is an ethical international volunteering charity. We organise incredible overseas placements, ranging from 6 months to 12 months on the long-term programme. As part of an international federation of small NGOs we work with partners in 36 countries across Latin America, Africa, Asia and Europe. We believe whole heartedly in developing cultural understanding, supporting communities and building personal development. To achieve this we both send volunteers overseas and host international volunteers in the UK.
The ICYE programme is so unique in fostering a true cultural experience that ICYE has been recognised as a United Nations Peace Messenger.
We are currently recruiting volunteers interested in the human rights field to support local NGOs that provide direct support and assistance to people affected by torture and governmental violence, raise awareness of LGBT rights and implement workshops in prisons, to women’s groups, and others. All projects are run by local people and rely heavily on the support of local and international volunteers to develop their work. Therefore we require dedicated and responsible volunteers.
Whether you’re graduating soon, looking for a career break/change, ICYE provides comprehensive training and support to ensure you get the most from your time away.
No matter where you choose to volunteer, ICYE UK offers an all-inclusive programme fee. This includes: flights, accommodation and food, travel costs to and from project, health insurance, visas, language lessons and monthly pocket money. Bursaries are also available (£1500). Applications for the programme are accepted throughout the year.

“I see why…. volunteering can be so valuable – you never know where the language skills, cultural knowledge and understanding can lead you afterwards. It’s also the best year of your life!” (Amy, ICYE volunteer to Colombia)
