Where are we located at?
Our locations for voluntary services include the Baan Nok Kamin sites in Bangkok, Hua-Hin, Uthai-thani, Suko-thai, Chiang-Mai and Song Kra.

What can I do?
Bangkok:
If you’re skilled in languages, you can teach the children at Baan Nok Kamin and also the Thai employees English. English as a second language is of great importance in Thailand, because children and Thai employees without adequate training can find themselves downgraded in areas of minor education and employment opportunities. Therefore Baan Nok Kamin Foundation needs the regular help of volunteers who want to make a difference by sharing their language and culture. We also want volunteers to encourage the children to be creative and to broaden their minds. Volunteers will also be helping the children to overcome their fears of interacting with foreigners, just by being around them.

Daily schedule for teaching English:
Monday-Friday 18.00-20.00
Saturday-Sunday 09.00-12.00
13.00-15.00

In your free time, you can visit Bangkok.

Hua-Hin, Uthai-thani, Suko-thai, Chiang-Mai and Song Kra:
We have organic farming on rice, pig, fish and many fruits. In order to become self-supporting, the orphanage is keen to produce its own consumption wherever possible. There are a number of projects underway and with the help of volunteers we’re hoping that we will soon have full-scale organic farms. Another project is to build houses just with mud – and yes, it’s possible! Sometimes there is art work like painting, scripture, designing, etc. and also you might help with music and entertainment education including composing songs, playing instruments, dancing and comedy. Last but not least you can play and / or teach sports like football, volleyball, etc. As well as in Bangkok, you can teach English.

Daily schedule for teaching English:
Monday-Friday 9.00-12.00

In your free time you can get to know the Thai culture.

What to expect from volunteering
You will live with a family. Expect to be part of proper Thai domestic routines. If you would like to see the local area or do some travelling during your stay, there will be no problem to find some time for it. Most people enjoy being part of the Baan Nok Kamin community life, getting to spend time with the children and contributing to the development of their homes.

You will also find your stay at the site very relaxing. The locations other than Bangkok are peaceful: situated in a tiny village, at the foot of the hills or next to the sea and surrounded by tropical plants.
The food is traditional Thai.

Volunteering requirements
The minimum stay is 3 months. You will work for 20 hours per week.
If you stay 30 nights or longer – 300 THB per night
If you stay 15 nights – 29 nights – 400 THB per night
If you stay 7-14 nights – 500 THB per night
We are happy to pick you up or drop you off at the airport for a service charge of 5 THB./km.
This price includes your lodging and two meals a day.(morning and lunch)

We are looking for people who can help with any of the primary functions of the orphanage; childcare, product sales & marketing and organic farming.

How do I volunteer?
If you would like to volunteer at Baan Nok Kamin please contact us by email with details of your planned stay. We kindly ask you to include your proposed arrival & departure dates as well as details of any flights or transports. If you require any dietary requirements (vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, etc.) please let us know in advance also.

We are working hard to become self-supporting and we are running a number of programs to create our revenue. But we cannot do this on our own and we need help from the outside. We are looking for partner organizations to buy (or sell) our products, for volunteers to help with the day-to-day running of the orphanage/farm and for home stayers that pray for us. And of course we’re very thankful for any donations.

If you feel that you can help in any way, we would love to hear from you.

God bless you!
