Huvadhoo Aid is a Non Governmental Non Profit Organisation working for the rural development of Huvadhoo Atoll. As a non-profit organisation the funding sources are limited and the amount of funding which the organisation can generate is also limited. It has number of youth volunteers who work for the development of the region. Most of these volunteers are local youth. However, from time to time foreign volunteers work in Huvadhoo Aid.
Opportunities
Volunteering in The Maldives is the opportunity not to miss, with our flexible short-term placement you can schedule your placement to coincide with holiday and experience the Natural Beauty of Maldives. Volunteer from 1 to 3 months in projects that will let you work, improve the livelihood of several people and build your career while enjoying the warm hospitality of Maldivian folks.
At Huvadhoo Aid we alway value work of our Volunteers. Not only we give volunteers opportunity to work in Huvadhoo aid, but also we give opportunities for volunteers to work in other NGOs in the region. We have good working relation with most of the NGOs in the region.
We are currently looking for IT instructors, preschool teachers/teaching assistants, teachers, nurses, medical officers, grant writers, evaluation officers program officers, youth counselors, and researchers, sports instructors/coaches, aerobics instructors and so on

Volunteer Fee
3 weeks – $1,050.00
4 weeks – $1,400.00
6 weeks – $2,000.00
8 weeks – $2,550.00
10 weeks – $3,050.00
12 weeks – $3,600.00
What you get for the fee:
#Volunteer placement within Huvadhoo Aid or with one of our partner NGOs.
#Domestic transportation from Male international airport to the island. This includes a flight to nearest domestic airport followed by a boat ride to the island where you stay
#Minimum of one picnic to nearby uninhabited island, although more often than not this will be a weekly occurrence!
#Accommodation for the length of your stay, and 3 full meals a day (4 if you include afternoon tea!)
Optional Dhivehi (the national language) lessons.
#Visa for the length of your stay (details of which will be provided before your flight).
Local member to ensure you have everything you need and constant support throughout your stay.
#A Dhiraagu sim-card so you can make local calls and texts (you must provide your own phone, however, and pay for your own calls and texts).
Discount
10 % discount will be offered on the volunteer fee if you confirms placement three months in advance. A booking is confirmed once required documents and the $200 administration fee is received.
