Introduction
Teaching English abroad is a fantastic way to travel, explore another country and encounter a different culture without incurring major costs. With this programme you will have an excellent opportunity to improve your proficiency in a foreign language in an immersive environment. It is also valuable experience for those looking to pursue a career in education.
We have over 20 years experience placing students as au pairs and teachers abroad. We work with partner agencies worldwide and are looking to place a team of teachers to Catalunya and other areas. You will be assigned to a primary or secondary school and will assist with classes of children between the ages of three and sixteen. This will include conversation practice, help with oral exams, assisting with the preparation of displays and complimentary teaching materials. You will be entitled to the same holidays as the school, and will also have the opportunity to participate in extra curriculum activities such as sport, cultural visits, theatre on a voluntary basis.
In return teaching assistants receive bed and board for the duration of their stay, travel costs to and from school and significant teaching experience. They also receive €100 a month. Host families understand that you are there to experience a new culture and learn the language so they will help you integrate and you will have plenty of time to meet new people and make new friends.

The Program
You will be assigned to infant/primary and secondary schools in the region of Catalunya and will be assisting in classes of children between the ages of 3 to 16 years old (mostly infant and primary).
The Timetable:
You will arrive in September. You will assist from 9.00 to 16.00 Monday to Thursday and from 9.00 to 12.00 on Fridays.
You will finish on the 23rd of June.
You will have the same holidays as the school, Easter/Spanish national holidays.
What will I have to do?
• Conversation practice
• Help in the language laboratory
• Help in the audiovisual rooms
• Help with oral exams
• Explaining the culture of their own country
• Stimulation of the oral speaking of the student
• Play English games, readings
• Help with linguistic doubts
• Help prepare displays, complementary material
What you need:
• 18 years or over
• A dynamic and friendly personality
• Ability to socialize and a desire to live in a foreign country and love of children
• Native English speaker
Included in your programe:
Bed and board.
€100 per month.
Teaching experience.
On a voluntary basis you can participate in extra curriculum activities such as sport, cultural visits, theatre plays.
Transport costs to and from the school.
Not included in your programme:
Teachers are responsible for all expenses incurred during their programme (travel expenses, classes, air fares, entertainment etc)
