This project is located in a stunningly beautiful natural environment instilled with local vibrancy. It welcomes volunteers for a minimum stay of one week, who get involved in community work or activities in the crèche. Volunteers are currently sought for a sewing and crafts program, building and maintenance work, a teaching and after-school program for children, and a gardening program. Volunteers can also design their own programs that will benefit the children.
If their spare time volunteers can hire mountain bikes or canoes, play games (pool, table tennis, etc), learn another language (Xhosa), learn to cook traditional food, go to the beach, or simply take in the view from one of the hammocks ( see image).
Aside from a £22.50 per week contribution towards the running costs of the project (e.g. for purchasing school supplies, construction materials, etc), there are no other fees to pay and volunteers can camp for free on the grounds. If you do not wish to camp you will need to pay for volunteer accommodation which starts at £6 per day.
