A biology/ecology graduate required to assist conservation research work being undertaken by WWF in the Eastern Plains Landscape, Mondulkiri, Cambodia one of the last wilderness areas in South-east Asia.
Work will include assisting a multinational team in surveys for endangered mammals (particularly banteng and eld’s deer) and birds (large waterbirds and vultures) and radio-telemetry of siamese crocodiles.
Previous experience in ecological surveys, ideally of birds or large mammals, is required. Successful applicant must also be able to spend considerable time in remote field conditions and be moderately fit. Accommodation in the field will be covered but the applicant must cover all costs of transport to Cambodia and in-country food and visas. The position is available for a minimum of three months from December 2010.
