Volunteer Accountant

MALAWI / Krizevac Project

The Krizevac Project began 10 years ago by simply placing a large cross on a mountain near Chilomoni, Blantyre, Malawi. Now the township around the base of the mountain is being transformed through the creation of a number of enterprises which include everything from brick making to computer and plant rental. The profits generated by the enterprises are all reinvested into projects that meet wider social needs such as the Chilomoni children’s centre. We are now seeking a joyful volunteer to help improve our financial systems and train our support staff. All of the not-for-profit businesses are supported centrally by Beehive Centre For Social Enterprise, we want to improve all recording, control and reporting systems- with 8 successful businesses to support it’s a busy and complex office.

Our ideal candidate will be a qualified and experienced accountant; you’ll have a thorough practical knowledge of Sage accounting systems. You’ll be able to conduct a full audit of all processes then recommend and implement improvements. You should have experience of managing people and a passion for passing on knowledge and ensuring your whole team are keeping top quality standards.
