MYANMAR / Myanmar Legal Services Ltd
Yangon is an exciting and interesting place to live right now, full of opportunity and a great social life as an expat. These are well paid jobs and include housing and other benefits. Myanmar Legal Services (www.myanmarlegalservices.com) is primarily concerned with Business Law, dealing with local and international commercial transactions in Myanmar. We are highly regarded and have been operating in Myanmar since 1998. The relatively sudden burst of foreign and local investment has resulted in a overload of work for our company’s lawyers so we’re now in great need of competent staff to join our small but growing team. It’s very difficult to find locals who are qualified or competent so we are widening our search across the world.
1. Basic Accountant – you would be dealing primarily with billing, using Sage Timeslips software (which you will be trained in at our Bangkok offices before heading to Myanmar). This comprises chasing the lawyers for their timeslips, inputting data, producing invoices, sending invoices to lawyers for approval, chasing approvals, sending bills out to clients, checking payments, reconciling, etc. Some basic accounting knowledge is preferred but no previous experience necessary. Must proficiently speak and write English.
2. Legal Secretaries – you would be assigned to various lawyers and be responsible for typing up reports, preparing documents etc. Must proficiently speak and write Burmese as well as English. Must be able to type competently. No legal knowledge necessary but would be very helpful!
3. Office Manager Assistant – you would be assisting the Office Manager with various duties. Must proficiently speak and write Burmese as well as English.
