About Tri Camp
We are a small family run business offering triathlon training holidays to guests in Northern Mallorca for 10 weeks from early March to mid May. We’re looking for a chef to join our team and cater for up to 18 guests and staff per week.
It’s a busy role and the hours can be long but we have a lot of laughs and tons of enthusiasm in the sunshine, it’s a great way to spend a few weeks before the summer season kicks in!
What we’re looking for
• Formal catering qualifications and experience in a professional kitchen
• Organised, proactive and creative
• Commitment to maintain a high standard throughout the 10 weeks
• Experience in catering for dietary requirements
• Experience in catering for athletes preferable
• Friendly, approachable and adaptable to changing needs and requirements
• A team player willing to muck in when necessary to ensure the guest experience is always a positive and enjoyable one
Responsibilities include:
• Creating and preparing a menu for the following:
• 7 x breakfasts
• 7 x lunches (some to be packed lunches)
• 6 x 2 course evening meals
• Baking healthy and nutritious snacks for guests
• Working with the House Manager to ensure that the menu is delivered on budget
• Completing the weekly shopping, assisting in the unpacking and correct storage of weekly supplies
• Maintaining the cleanliness and order of the food storage areas
What we can offer
• Off-site shared accommodation
• Weekly rate of £250 plus an equal share of tips
• Flights to and from the UK, transport to and from Palma airport
• Meals when on duty
Whilst days are approx. 12 hrs long, there is plenty of opportunity throughout the day to take time out and relax in the square with a coffee, it is up to the chef’s discretion to take this time as and when possible.
