Start now as an English Teaching Assistant in Spain (Barcelona/Catalonia/Valencia area). You will work under the supervision of a qualified teacher in a formal academic teaching environment following the Spanish school curriculum. You will have the opportunity to gain experience teaching English at the same time as learning Spanish through your allocated tutor. You will also receive a certificate at the end of your stay from the Institute of Cervantes (Spanish equivalent to the British Council) stating the level of Spanish you have acquired and you will also receive a certificate from the program who are regulated by the FECC stating the number of teaching hours you have accumulated.
You will be fully immersed in to the Spanish culture and way of life as you will live with a host family. All your expenses will be covered and you will receive a monthly grant. You will work for just 25 hours per week and have the opportunity to take up extra paid work during your free time and school holidays if you wish. You need to be educated to ‘A’ level standard or equivalent. What a constructive way to spend the rest of this academic year (until the 20.06.2014) !
