APC Counselor Job Description
• This is a full time summer seasonal position from June 2 – August 6 in Phan Thiet province, Vietnam
• Teach, lead, and be a friend to groups of children aged anywhere from 8-16
• Your primary responsibility is to ensure the children’s safety and well-being and to help make the children’s camp experience fun and rewarding
• The daily routine will include leading a cabin group of 6-8 children and teaching them various activities (sports, games, arts, etc.)
• APC counselors live in cabins with the campers, spending nearly 24 hours a day, 6 days a week with them
Skills & Experience
• All counselors should be very strong in English, either native speaking or very fluent
• Applicants should have previous experience working with groups of children
• Working at summer camp in the US or other countries previously is a plus
• You should have knowledge of sports, arts, waterfront, climbing, or other outdoor activities
• The traits we are looking for are patient, responsible, caring, outgoing, and fun
• Preferably 21 years or older with teaching experience

Salary
This position pays $180USD per week plus room and board while at camp. We can also provide transportation from Ho Chi Minh City to the site of camp in Phan Thiet, but getting to Ho Chi Minh City is each counselor’s responsibility. We can also help with the relatively easy visa process.
Other
APC also requires hired counselors to submit a health form after examination by a doctor, and to have travel insurance that covers injury or illness in Vietnam during camp.
