Once in a lifetime opportunity to work with sea turtles in the Caribbean – the Marine Park needs your help!
Summer 2010 dates: 7 to 28 June and 5 to 31 July

We need your help in the Marine Park with sea turtle monitoring and tagging on Zeelandia’s beach – both hawksbill and leatherback turtles come to nest on this beach. Trail work and botanical gardening in the national park also to be done.
Volunteers will camp and live in the botanical garden on the tranquil, tropical island of Statia (St. Eustatius) and will be able to contribute to the preservation of the unique ecology found on the island and within the crater of the dormant volcano. Amazing diving and snorkelling opportunities to do in free time. Cost is £478 (3 weeks) and £640 for 1 month (opportunities up to 6 months available too). Food and living allowance (300 USD per month provided), plus 4×4 truck and project costs included. Opportunities up to 6 months also available throughout the year.
