COSTA RICA / TrustedHousesitters
I live in a rural village in the mountains of Costa Rica. I like traveling – but – I have a dog that needs some companionship.
What responsibilities are required of house sitter?
Looking for someone to feed my dog once a day, take her for walks and in general, just spend a little time with her. She is mostly an outside dog and runs free – like all the other dogs here. I have a few plants to water and hope you will keep the house neat. (I have a cleaning lady that comes once a week.)
Features of the property and location
I live in the village of Bijagua which is very near the 18,000 hectare rainforest of the Tenorio National Park. The house has 3 (small) bedrooms, simple but very comfortable with a great back porch. Quiet neighborhood but easy walk to town and bus stop. There are fruit trees in the backyard – tangerine, lemon and bananas – that have fruit much of the year.
It’s a quiet area but if you love nature, birds, quiet walks, photography, art or writing – it will work perfectly for you.
There are not a lot of English-speaking people here, but I can introduce you to them and they will help you if you need it. There is a clinic in town, two supermarkets, bank, etc, so everything you need, really.
It’s possible to visit a beach for an overnight — it’s about 2.5 hours away by bus. Other excursions can be arranged also.
Spending time in this beautiful little town – located in a valley between Miravalles Volcano and Tenorio Volcano – is also an excellent cultural immersion. The local people are very friendly and the whole area is very safe. Very little crime.
WiFi available.
