ROMANIA / The Life Foundation
The Life Foundation partners with a Romanian charity called FSC to run four summer schools in Bacau throughout July and August. The children come from local rural communities and most come from very disadvantaged backgrounds. During the day the children are split into age groups and rotate round different activities. Activities include sport, art, painting, music, dance and English. The key goals for this project are to engage the children in a positive learning environment and enhance their self-esteem. Life volunteers will work alongside English speaking Romanian volunteers to plan and carry out the activities. This project is a great opportunity for anyone; from those that haven’t volunteered abroad before to those with huge amounts of teaching experience. Anyone can get involved (age 16+) and make a difference!
