Gremio de Brixton is based in the crypt of the St Matthews Church.
At Gremio de Brixton we serve only the highest quality, most authentic Spanish products. We have an intimate candlelit restaurant for dining and an extensive bar and lounge area with late DJs for those who would just like a drink.
We are on the search for a talented restaurant manager who will have the following responsibilities.
– Managing menus, menu changes and updating boards and website with specials.
– holding briefings before service, communicating specials, up selling needs, service expectations.
– Managing a the restaurant team, staff reviews, delegating tasks, managing retention and morale
– Delivering excellent customer service through the team, by ensuring customer feedback is recorded, and sought.
– Training the team to deliver an exceptional service.
– Monitoring performance, giving feedback to the staff
– communicating with the kitchen, on service times/ delays, out of stock items,
– hosting monthly team meetings
– recruitment of restaurant staff
– ordering consumables (napkins, etc)
– H&S checks of the restaurant area and toilets, ensuring high standards of cleanliness.
– restaurant maintenance (lightbulbs etc)
– staff rotas
– cashing up
– Duty Manager shifts – on these shifts your will be in charge of the whole building.
It is desirable that the candidate has the following qualities and credentials
– Spanish Speaking
– Knowledge of Spanish Cuisine
– 2 years in restaurant management
– proven experience of leading a team
– diploma in hospitality courses or similar
