Japan Cat Network’s small animal shelter in Inawashiro Japan has an immediate and ongoing opening for a volunteer and shelter management position. On site living space and food/living stipend provided in a beautiful area of Japan. Check that all animal care is done well, participate in care when needed, help with social media/reporting, communicate with scheduled volunteers, organize fundraising events, report to directors, and greet visitors.
Our shelter is located at the base of a mountain, in a beautiful resort town, and currently houses around 25 pets, mostly cats. From 3 to 7 volunteers from around the world generally staying on site. We are looking for a positive people-person who loves animals to take the lead, regularly reporting to director and board members living off-site. Prefer candidates able to obtain working holiday visas, and/or available immediately. Happiness required 🙂
