With our African headquarters located in Nairobi, we currently offer tailor-made journeys to 16 African countries and will gradually be expanding to selected additional destinations across the African continent.
Job Description:
The role of the Senior Product Manager Africa is to set and drive the agenda for our Product Management Team in Africa, take key product decisions, shape and drive product development initiatives, create high quality product content, initiate and nurture relationships with our partners and support the growth and development of our Product Management team in Africa. He/she will report to the Africa Destination Manager and work closely with our Product Management, Marketing and Travel Consulting teams in Africa and around the world.
Required Experience & Skills
● Minimum of 5 years of work experience in tourism in Africa, either as lodge manager or in a Sales or Product Management Role for an international tour operator
● In-depth product understanding of tourism destinations in East and Southern Africa
● In-depth understanding of discerning travellers from North America, Australia & Western Europe
● Strong ability to build & nurture relationship with partners
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills incl. strong English writing skills
● Strong analytical skills
● International background and exposure in different geographies
● University degree
