Not a typical ESL teaching Position. Looking for Passionate Teachers to prepare students for college!
About the program: Balboa City School (BCS), a small private school in San Diego has joined with Aston Educational Group(AEG) to provide a college preparatory program in China. Our program is designed for Chinese High School students that will be attending college in the US or other English speaking countries. The program combines traditional US High School courses with TOEFL, and SAT preparation to prepare students for college abroad while allowing them to earn a US High School Diploma and a Chinese High School Diploma. The focus of the program is to prepare the students to study in an English speaking college and improve their ability to be accepted into the best US and International colleges.
Job Description: This is a professional teaching position at a public high school in China. The average class size is 20-30 students and classes are scheduled between 7:30 am and 8:00 pm, Monday through Friday. All students are high school aged students.Teachers will teach traditional, California accredited courses in English Literature, Composition, American History, Economics, and American Government.
Salary: Above average salary – 10,000 RMB+ dependent on the candidate’s credentials and experience.
Contract Duration and Vacation:August 25th until mid-July 2014. All major Chinese Holidays and 3-4 week paid break for Winter Break.
Accommodations: Newer western style single person apartment provided by the school. Located in a new apartment complex near school, complex has a pool, small fitness center, pool tables, and ping pong tables.
Flight:Flight reimbursement provided Health Insurance and Visa: Provided by the school.
Qualifications: Teachers with a Bachelor’s degree,prefer Bachelor’s degree in teaching or related topics to subjects taught: American Literature, Composition, American History, Economics or related degrees;minimum of 2 years work experience post Bachelor’s degree. Need TEFL Certification and candidates with ESL teaching experience will be given priority. Experience teaching California is a huge plus.
Positions Available:
3 Passionate English Writing Instructors – Teach High School level English writing to Chinese Students. Love teaching Grammar, structure, and writing technic. 1 Teacher needs to teach MLA, College Level Writing
3 English Reading Instructors – Teach High School level English reading combined with SAT and TOEFL preparation to Chinese Students. Teach 9th Grade, 10th Grade and American Literature to Chinese Students.
California Certified High School English Teacher – Looking for a California Certified English Teacher to help lead our US High School English Courses in China. This position would be a higher salary with Head Teacher responsibilities including observation of classes, teacher feedback, curriculum planning, and development. Looking for a passionate teacher that loves teaching English to ESL students.
Social Studies Teacher – Teacher that is interested in teaching High School courses in US History, Economics and American Government to Chinese Students. Need ESL experience.
ESL Summer Intensive Teacher in Quanzhou Fujian Province – Teacher needed to teach ESL courses to high school students full training and curriculum provided 30 Hours per week 15,000 RMB.
