Recreational Trail Internship positions available – an opportunity for students of Environmental science/Ecology or related fields to gain field experience on ecological restoration programmes in the Lake Tahoe Basin and western Nevada region.
2013 Dates:
1st May to 30th June and/or
1st September to 31st October
Full-time, 40 hours per week
Gain hands-on experience in one or more public land use areas, and learn the issues around recreational use of public lands.
Interns will:
• Assist non-profit and State of Nevada organisations while gaining hands-on experience in the use of public lands
• Work outside in a variety of conditions and elevation for eight hours per day, five days per week, which may include segments of camping outside in tents
• Work under the direction of an environmental conservationist to restore public lands
Interns also receive a $105 per week stipend during their stay.
