Letz Live is an Australian based Gap Year, Working Holiday, and Volunteering organisation committed to proving travel and working opportunities for young persons around the world.
Since starting in 2005, we have sent hundreds of Gap Assistants to boarding schools in locations including the United Kingdom, United States, China, France, Canada, and Thailand, among others.
We currently have placements available in boarding schools throughout China, where fluent English speaking gap assistants are in need by schools to assist with a range of daily activities and to help out with the students of the school. Gappies will typically help out in the classrooms, where their English speaking knowledge will help develop that of the students they’re assisting, while also being responsible for the students at the end of the night and start of each day in the boarding dorms.
Gap assistants may find themselves helping out in all different aspects of their school including standard core subjects, languages, physical education, and drama and arts.
Full board is provided for successful applicants and a small allowance is paid by the school at the end of each month. Some schools are able to provide free Mandarin lessons as well. Gap Assistants will normally have a few hours free time each day as well as the weekends off to which they can explore China much to their liking. During school holidays Gappers will also have the opportunity to travel throughout China extensively.
Eligibility for this program requires that all applicants speak English fluently, are at least 17 years of age, and have finished their secondary education at time of departure.
Letz Live charges a placement fee of GBP £1,635.00 (AUD $2,449.00 , US $ 2,560.00) which is inclusive of full accommodation, food, visa, the position in the school, and an in-country orientation. Successful applicants can choose a 4, 6 or 12 month placement. We are also able to help out with discounted flights and travel insurance.
