Planning to volunteer in Nepal in 2014 and want to experience rural Nepal at its best? Then why not come and volunteer at an organic farm we have just started working with in the hills above the beautiful city of Pokhara. Here you can get involved with the basic day to day work of the farm and if you feel confident in teaching why not help at the local school.
This placement is ideal for people who want to experience rural Nepal in a relaxing enviroment and see how they are adapting farming to work alongside nature in the Annapurna.
We charge £10 per day plus a £80 admin fee for all volunteers, this money covers all your transport, food and accommodation while you are volunteering with EHN. The bulk of the money goes to the people who provide you with your home stay, some of the remaining money goes directly to the orphanage or centre you work at in the form of equipment, materials, repair work or a new shower cubical. What’s left EHN use to help other organisations plus work on new projects such as the free mobile medical clinic we wish to run later this year.
