Volunteer Partnerships for West Africa (VPWA) is a volunteer-driven, non-profit NGO based in Ghana.
We are currently recruiting Microfinance Field Officers. Volunteers will work in a traditional African environment and operate with the African trading and business systems.
Duties may include:
– Work directly with the scheme beneficiaries.
– Work with the loan recovery team.
– Conduct social investigation on scheme applicants along with local staff.
No previous experience is required. However general requirements include:
• At least age 18 (no maximum age limit);
• Good knowledge of English language
• Strong commitment to values and principles of volunteerism;
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment;
• Ability to adjust to difficult living and working conditions;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Project Fee: 400 EUR per month.
Fees include:
– Accommodation and meals.
– Airport Pick Up.
– Placement
– 24 hour support contact services
– Pre-departure Orientation.
– Mobile phone SIM card.
– Accra City tour
– Internet access (at VPWA’s HQ).
– Certificate of Recognition and an opportunity to serve as a VPWA ambassador in your city, college or community.
