Concordia Post Season event 2013

One of Concordia’s highlights is our annual post season event when we invite all our volunteers to come and spend the weekend with us in Shoreham, near Brighton. Run like a mini project, it is a great opportunity for us to meet those of you we haven’t met yet and catch up with our faithful returning volunteers! The weekend will be a mix of volunteering, socialising, sharing stories and experiences and hearing about other great opportunities that Concordia offers, plus loads of games and a night out on the town.
This year we are excited to be volunteering for Moulsecoomb Primary School. We have been working with the school for many years, offering volunteers from around the world the opportunity to join our 2 week residential project. This October the school has asked for our help….. so for one day only, the “FABULOUS Post Season Event team” will be helping to bring some new life to their poor neglected pond.
The volunteer work at Mouslecoomb Primary School will consist of removing plants and saving some, removing old pond liner, preparing the new area and laying new pond liner. We can’t promise that you won’t get wet and muddy but it will be a great full on day that will allow the children to use the area again for fun outdoor wildlife lessons.
Participation fee is £40 for the weekend, however if you bring a friend we can give you 2 places for £60.
PLEASE NOTE: this event is open to both Concordia volunteers as well as anybody new to Concordia.
