We are a family run hostel on the stunning Isle of Harris. We also provide meals on request. We are looking for an experienced, trustworthy person to live in and help us run the business. Ideally starting as soon as possible. Duties include – taking bookings and payments, doing accounts, checking guests in, cleaning rooms and common areas, laundry, cooking breakfast, providing packed lunches, organising activities, doing the weekly shop, lighting the fire for guests in the evening.
The hours would depend on the bookings but generally if there are two of us here you would only need to work around 4-5 hours per day with flexible days off. Please only apply if you are responsible and experienced enough to run our family business in our absence. Wages can be discussed as we would provide on site accommodation with wifi for the successful applicant.
After work or days off the gorgeous Western Isles have plenty to offer, we have the top voted beaches in Europe only a 20 minute drive away. Lots of hiking trais, wildlife watching and watersports. A car would be helpful as we are quite remote.
