This media company was founded in 2008 in Macau, and aims to culturally bridge people across the Pearl River Delta, with a focus on the English speaking business community. The company provides the only media that covers the 11 cities of the area, offering city specific information as well as raising Delta integration awareness. In order to achieve those goals, the company has created several media platforms that complement each other.

Internship Description:
Editorial, journalism and photography – obviously requires an interest in writing. Topics include: lifestyle, business, travel, Chinese culture, opinion pieces. Photography is also a big part of our work, so interns who have photography skills are also preferred. Business Development – our small organization is exciting and dynamic, we are developing fast, especially in the areas of information technology, direct marketing and networking. We now have particular need for skills to help develop our core business, as well as identify new opportunities.

Event Management – Regular and annual events in the local music, arts and cultural scene are organised by the company. The company also arranges regular chamber of commerce and business networking events across the region. The intern would be involved in assisting to manage events as and when they occur.

As the company spans several cities across the pearl river delta, regular travel to write articles, take photos and help with business development can be a part of the internship.

Requirements:

Students with graphic or web design skills are preferred.
Applicants should have an interest in writing and/or photography.
Internships are a minimum of 3 months.

Payment/Compensation:

An allowance in the region of 2000 RMB can be negotiated depending on Student’s background and duration of internship.
A bonus based on good contributions to the company can be discussed towards the end of a placement.
