InternChina is delighted to be working with the British Council China as part of the Generation UK campaign. The initiative aims to encourage and support more young people from the UK to gain international experience in China. The Generation UK campaign will provide funding for a number of 2 month placements in all advertised sectors.

Funding is available to UK citizens (British passport holders, including Irish passport holders for Northern Irish domiciled) enrolled at a UK university at the time of application. All applicants to placements funded through Generation UK will be means-tested and will require academic references. Applicants will be subject to our competitive assessment process, and funding will be awarded to those students who display an excellent academic record and strong interest in China, subject to British Council approval.

Company introduction: This is a British boarding school which opened its branch in Chengdu in 2012. The school´s focus is on children and high school students who want to study at a British university after their graduation. Furthermore, it commits itself to provide a high class international education for its students. The teachers and faculty staff are very professional, motivated as well as passionate to teach young people. Moreover, the school organises extra curricular activities, mainly on the weekends. Among these are sports events, educational or cultural trips.

Internship Description: Educational Event Management Internship

– organizing and planning extra-curricular activities for the students
– supervising students during these activities
– assisting the administrative staff in the daily tasks

Requirements: Educational Event Management Internship

– Open to any major
– Fluent in English
– Experience in working with teenagers is a big plus
– Sociable and open minded personality
– Professional work attitude
– Basic knowledge of Chinese language is a plus
– Able to adapt to a Western-Chinese team
– Experiences with the Edinburgh program is a plus
– 5 working days a week; working days will be on the weekend
– Duration: 2 to 6 months
