English World English School is offering an international internship at our school located in Okinawa, Japan (in the city of Naha). We are looking for someone interested in teaching English in Japan, while learning what it is like to live and operate a small business here.
Over the course of the internship you will take on the responsibility of the daily operations of the school including:
* Lead English conversation classes, using our texts and lessons.
* Provide conversation practice.
* Special classes as needed.
* Daily operations of the school (answering email and in-person inquires, handling money, some banking and accounting, ordering texts, shopping for supplies, etc.)
The internship is unpaid but for the right candidate we can offer:
* Housing arrangement and stipend
* Meal stipend
* Airport pick-up
** Plane ticket is the responsibility of the intern.
** There is no program fee required to participate in this internship.

* Resume, including work history, university major, level of Japanese, etc.
* One-page essay : “Why I should be selected to participate in English World’s Internship program.” Essay should cover:
1) How your background and experiences have lead up to your interest in this internship
2) Why you are interested in this internship
3) How this internship will help you with your goals
The internship is open to anyone fluent in English. The ideal candidate would be:
* A current or recent college graduate with a related major (Japanese Studies, Japanese Language, International Studies, Teaching, Business, etc).
* Interested in teaching English and providing conversation practice.
* Interested in Japanese language and culture. (Japanese language is not necessary , but some prior Japanese study background preferred).
* Can commit between 6-8 weeks (up to 3 months is possible).
