We are a British family living just outside Salta in the foothills of the Andes in NW Argentina. We are travelling to the UK for a month, and are looking for a person or couple to look after our house and dog. We have a comfortable house in a beautiful spot in the countryside just 15 mins from Salta city centre. We have a friendly golden labrador who is going to miss us.
What responsibilities are required of house sitter?
We are looking for a quiet, responsible person or couple to look after our dog and house.
Features of the property and location
Our house is in a semi-rural setting with beautiful views of the Andean foothills, just 15 mins drive from Salta city centre. We have internet (installed cables that plug into a laptop), but no TV, so ideal for a restful break. The sitter/s can use our truck for local trips (eg to Salta and back), though not for touring. It’s a very peaceful place, though there’s loads to do nearby, including riding and trekking. Where we live is known for nature, including 2 local rivers with paths alongside where you can explore or walk the dog. The city of Salta meanwhile is a lovely city, and is one of Argentina’s top tourist attractions thanks to its restaurants, museums, shops, colonial architecture, Andean folklore, and art galleries. Winter in Salta is typically sunny and warm during the day, and cold at night. (Our house’s outer walls are adobe, so it retains the warmth well).
