Glacier House Hostel in Fairbanks, Alaska, USA is seeking an Assistant Hostel Host from December 2016 through February 2017. Some flexibility for dates possible.
Come see the Aurora Borealis,meet a moose, try a winter sport! We are offering an exchange for a dorm bed, at the rate of two hours work for one night lodging.
Assistant Host duties may include: Receiving guests and familiarizing them with the hostel, explaining rules and giving directions to local areas of interest. Cleaning and housekeeping according to our protocols; easy, we have a checklist for you to follow. As this is a winter assignment there will likely be some snow removal occasionally.
A small benefit of food is included, meaning self-catered pancakes for breakfast, and tea or coffee. As in many hostels there is also a “free” food shelf with items travelers leave behind.
We need at least intermediate level English speakers please.
